collaborative learning - is a teaching and learning strategy whereby learners are grouped and assigned a task to complete, a prolem to solve, and/or product to create. Reasons to implement this strategy include but are not limited to taking advantage of the benefits of social learning, building and promoting community, and to better scaffold or provide differentiated instrucion. Groupings can be homogenous or heterogenous determined on what is best for the students and the learning opportunity.
